Octapussy Psychedelic

The Catalinbread Octapussy is an original octave-up fuzz inspired by the classic Octavia concept, built around a proprietary circuit using three silicon transistors and two diodes rather than a vintage clone. It produces expressive octave-up lead tones, harmonically rich fuzz, ring mod-like textures, and powerful chord sounds that respond strongly to playing dynamics, pickup selection, and the guitar's volume and tone controls. Three controls—Attn, Gain, and Body—adjust output, fuzz intensity, and low-end response while maintaining an open, touch-sensitive feel. Designed to be placed first in the signal chain, the Octapussy stacks well with overdrives and delays, operates from 9–18V DC or a 9V battery, and includes an internal switch to disable the LED for maximum responsiveness when using battery power.
