Sonic Stomp

The BBE SS-92 Sonic Stomp is a signal enhancer/exciter pedal that brings BBE’s Sonic Maximizer processing, previously found in rack units such as the 482i, to pedal format. Its processing uses frequency-dependent time alignment with amplitude compensation to improve clarity, note definition, and low-end punch rather than adding a conventional effect. Lo Contour adjusts the low-frequency emphasis, while Process controls the amount of Sonic Maximizer processing. BBE recommends placing it last in the pedal chain. The pedal features a 1 MΩ input impedance, 1 kΩ output impedance when engaged, and true hardwire bypass, and can run from a 9V battery or external power supply.
