JFET Comp

The GIGAGAIN JFET Comp is an analog JFET compressor based on the classic UREI/Universal Audio 1176 FET compressor, bringing its fast, punchy compression to a compact pedal format. It features independent Input and Output level controls, a Dry blend knob for parallel compression, adjustable Ratio, Attack, and Release controls for everything from subtle leveling to heavy dynamic control. A built-in 10-segment LED meter provides real-time visual feedback of the compression amount. The pedal includes a dedicated power switch that completely disconnects power to prevent battery drain, top-mounted input and output jacks, and a magnetic storage compartment for a 9V battery or guitar picks. It operates from 9V DC or a 9V battery and uses buffered bypass.
