The MXR Textures Granular Synth Engine is a granular synthesis pedal that records incoming audio, divides it into small "grains," and reconstructs it into evolving textures, ambient pads, stuttered rhythms, regenerative octave loops, pitch-shifted delays, and experimental soundscapes. It offers three operating modes—Delay, Auto-Freeze, and Layers—along with eight factory presets across two banks for quick access to different sounds. Dedicated controls for Time, Size, Overlap, Regen, Pitch, Reverse, Delay, and Mix provide detailed control over the granular engine, while secondary functions add reverb, filter, vibrato, randomization, and tap tempo. The pedal also supports stereo I/O with mono, wet/dry, or true stereo operation, plus compatibility with expression pedals and the MXR Split + Tap footswitch for expanded performance control.
