The MXR Mr. TalkBox Signature Talk Box (MRT01) is a talk box designed for guitarists and keyboardists, developed with Byron “Mr. TalkBox” Chambers. Its internal 25-watt Class D amplifier and speaker driver send the instrument signal through the supplied voice tube, allowing the player to shape the sound with their mouth before it is captured by a microphone. Controls include Volume, a Tone tilt EQ, and Gain for added distortion. A Gain Bypass switch provides a clean path to the power amp, while Mute disables the pedal output and sends the signal through the voice tube only. The pedal uses buffered bypass and requires the supplied 18V DC, 2A adapter, drawing 1.8A.
