The Vertex Steel String Supreme is a dual-channel, all-analog preamp, boost and overdrive based on serial #001 of the Dumble Steel String Singer. Designed as a preamp-in-a-box, it can feed a traditional tube amplifier or run directly into a cabinet simulator/IR loader. Each channel can operate independently or together, providing separate gain stages for clean and mild-to-mid-gain overdrive tones. Below halfway, the Gain controls provide clean boost with D-style coloration, touch sensitivity, warmth and sparkle; higher settings introduce progressively more overdrive. Active EQ controls and Bright/Deep and Rock/Jazz switches provide extensive frequency and voicing adjustment. Both channels use mechanical true bypass switching, and the pedal is housed in a rugged steel enclosure.
