AC/Overdrive

The AC/Overdrive is an overdrive designed to emulate the guitar tones of Angus and Malcolm Young of AC/DC, covering sounds from the High Voltage era through Back in Black. Its circuit uses a pair of premium dual op-amps and is designed for an open, uncompressed gain-stage character. Gain ranges from boost and light overdrive to heavier tube-like saturation, while Volume ranges from below unity to a substantial boost. Its high input impedance is intended to preserve the guitar’s natural tone, and the pedal responds strongly to the guitar’s volume control, allowing transitions between rhythm and lead tones without changing pedal settings.
