Report incorrect information
The Yamaha OD-10MII is an analog overdrive pedal produced in the 1980s, featuring a circuit combining Tube Screamer-style gain stages with a Big Muff-inspired tone section. Its op-amp-based design uses symmetrical silicon diode clipping within the feedback loop to produce dynamic, amp-like overdrive ranging from clean boost to saturated distortion. Three controls provide sound shaping: Overdrive adjusts gain and clipping intensity, Tone modifies the frequency response with a characteristic midrange cut, and Out Level sets the output volume. The pedal responds to picking dynamics and works with both single-coil and humbucker pickups. Housed in a compact metal enclosure, it operates from a 9V battery or external 9V DC power supply.
