BPC Silverface

The British Pedal Company BPC Silverface Overdrive is an overdrive and preamp pedal inspired by the early 1970s Dumble Overdrive Special amplifier. Its circuit is designed to reproduce natural, tube-like clipping with a smooth, harmonically rich sound, pronounced low-midrange response and touch-sensitive dynamics. Four controls provide tonal adjustment: Gain determines the amount of overdrive, Volume sets the output level, Tone shapes the frequency response, and Depth adjusts the low-midrange emphasis and saturation. The pedal responds to picking intensity and works with both single-coil and humbucker pickups. Additional features include an LED status indicator and operation from a 9V battery or an external 9–18V power supply, with higher voltages providing increased headroom.
