Frog Pedal

The FruitFX Frog Pedal is an all-analog monophonic octave-down effect developed in collaboration with guitarist Jordan.wav. Combining octave generation, fuzz and a dynamic filter, it produces distinctive, croaking synthesizer-like sounds for guitar, bass and monophonic synthesizers. A two-position switch selects one or two octaves below the original note, while Volume adjusts the output level and Frog controls the filter's sensitivity and characteristic croaking response. The pedal reacts strongly to picking dynamics and input level, with intentionally imperfect tracking that can produce glitches and unpredictable textures. Designed primarily for single-note melodies and riffs rather than chords, it performs best near the beginning of the signal chain. Its compact enclosure is based on Jordan.wav's original handmade design.
