Bread Oath

The Ground Control Audio Bread Oath is a low-to-medium-gain overdrive pedal featuring an op-amp-based circuit with symmetrical diode clipping in the feedback path. It offers switchable silicon and germanium clipping modes, providing different saturation characteristics. The main gain stage delivers up to 26 dB of gain, while a separately adjustable 21 dB pre-gain stage can be activated using a dedicated footswitch for additional saturation. The pre-gain stage operates in series with the main overdrive and cannot function independently. A low-pass filter between the stages controls high-frequency harmonics, with a tone adjustment range of approximately 200 Hz to 10 kHz. Introduced in 2023 as the successor to the Blood Oath, the pedal features mechanical true bypass and requires 9V DC center-negative power
