MIDI Box ONE

The Disaster Area Designs MIDI Box ONE is a compact MIDI converter that adapts standard 5-pin DIN MIDI signals to 1/4-inch control connections used by compatible effects pedals. It features a configurable output that can transmit MIDI data through the jack's tip, ring or both simultaneously. Internal DIP switches allow selection of the appropriate output configuration for different manufacturers, including Chase Bliss Audio, Meris, Alexander and Empress Effects. When configured for dual output, it can control two compatible devices using an appropriate TRS insert cable. A multicolor status LED indicates power and incoming MIDI activity. The unit requires an external 9–12V DC power supply and is designed for placement at the end of a MIDI signal chain.
