BlackBox Overdrive 2

The Snouse BlackBox Overdrive 2 is a hand-wired analog overdrive pedal based on the Marshall Bluesbreaker circuit. It features three selectable operating modes: Standard (High Gain), Classic (Low Gain) and Clean Boost, configured through internal DIP switches. A variable JFET pre-gain boost increases the signal driving the overdrive circuit, providing additional gain and harmonic saturation. Five external controls—Gain, Tone, Presence, Volume and Boost—allow detailed adjustment of the pedal's response. The Presence control provides additional high-frequency shaping, while internal Bright/Smooth switches offer further voicing options. The pedal responds to picking dynamics and guitar volume changes, features true bypass switching and operates from a regulated 9–18V DC power supply.
