Bass Compressor

The Empress Bass Compressor is a studio-grade bass compressor that combines detailed compression controls with bass-specific tone shaping. It features Input, Output, Attack, Release, Mix, and Sidechain High-Pass Filter controls, plus selectable 2:1, 4:1, and 10:1 compression ratios. A Mix control enables parallel compression, while the variable sidechain high-pass filter (20–400 Hz) prevents low frequencies from over-triggering the compressor. An external sidechain insert allows EQ processing or external audio to control the compression. The pedal also includes a Tone + Colour switch with selectable mid cut or upper-mid boost, both adding subtle harmonic distortion, with internal DIP switches to bypass the Colour circuit if desired. LED metering displays both input level and gain reduction for precise adjustment. It operates from 9V DC (100 mA minimum) and features true bypass.
