XS-1 Poly Shifter

The BOSS XS-1 Poly Shifter is a polyphonic pitch shifter designed for instant retuning without altering the natural character of the instrument. Powered by new BOSS pitch-shifting algorithms, it provides fast, accurate tracking with minimal artifacts for guitar, bass, and other instruments. It supports pitch shifts of ±7 semitones or ±3 octaves, while the Balance control blends the processed and dry signals for applications such as alternate tunings, octave layering, or 12-string-style textures. A dedicated Detune function (±20 cents) creates doubling effects. The onboard footswitch can operate in latching or momentary mode, and external footswitches allow instant recall of up to three alternate tunings. An expression pedal can also be connected for continuous pitch control and pitch-bend effects.
