OD-9 Overdrive

The Maxon OD-9 Overdrive is the modern continuation of the classic Maxon-designed Tube Screamer TS-9 circuit. Originally developed by Maxon for Ibanez, the TS-9 became one of the most influential overdrive pedals ever produced, known for its smooth, tube-like overdrive, pronounced midrange emphasis, and dynamic response. The OD-9 retains the original JRC4558 op-amp and classic Drive, Tone, and Level control layout, delivering everything from clean boost to warm, mid-focused overdrive suitable for pushing an amplifier or serving as a primary gain source. Unlike the original TS-9, the OD-9 features true bypass with electronic switching, preserving the dry signal when the effect is disengaged.
