The GIGAGAIN Blue Gain is a low-gain overdrive designed to bridge the gap between a clean boost and a traditional overdrive. It delivers a natural breakup intended to blend with the character of a tube amplifier while also giving solid-state amplifiers a more tube-like response. Gain, Tone, and Level controls shape the amount of drive, EQ, and output, while a HOT switch adds an extra gain stage for higher saturation. A distinctive FAT control boosts low and low-mid frequencies between 30 Hz and 1 kHz, with its center frequency sweeping from 100 Hz to 300 Hz, allowing the pedal to be tailored to different guitars—higher settings complementing Strat-style instruments and lower settings better suiting Les Paul-style guitars. The pedal uses buffered bypass, includes a dedicated power switch that completely disconnects power to prevent battery drain, and operates from 9V DC or a 9V battery.
